Getting your cameras some exercise is easy enough to accomplish. ![]() Unless you either purposely plan to use your camera(s) or plan to carry the RX100 camera with you, I think it is likely that it will join your other equipment on the shelf. I find that I need to purposely decide to get out and take some photos or my cameras remain in their bags on a shelf. Even in retirement, I frequently only have my phone with when I am out and about running errands or keeping an appointment. None of my other cameras would have gotten those results.Īs to your question, no systems camera (even the compact NEX series) will ever match your phone for convenience or portability. I am so happy to have captured so many memories from that weekend thanks to the little Mark 3 that they saw but pretty much ignored. As we sat down on the patio to play some 3-handed cribbage, used the Mark 3 to "interview" my youngest brother as he was shuffling (and dropping) the cards. I came across some photos and videos of a long labor day weekend spent with my two brothers. Looking back, I really regret selling it, especially after looking through photos and videos captured with the little dynamo. It was so convenient that my RX100iii was seldom used and I ended up selling it. I succumbed to using my iPhone because it was fast and convenient for posting photos on various hobby forums. ![]() My iPhone photos are meh, but don’t want to shell out big cash if it winds up on a shelf with the nex. For those who have had the rx100 series for some time, do you find you still grab it often? Or do you eventually still reach the point of “ i got my smartphone if anything pops up”? Please no comment on image quality as I know the larger sensor will always be better. Now I am finding that I don’t often grab my Ne圆 because I still feel like a tourist lugging it around with anything but pancakes on it. ![]() I originally had a cannon DSLR which I sold and moved into the Sony nex series cameras for the purpose of smaller and more portable which meant I would more likely have it with me.
